Spooky Lane embankment improvements welcome but more work may needed

September 2018 saw major re-enforcement works to Spooky Lane A risk was posed to homes and gardens from the erosion and slippage of the embankment.

Councillor Sean Driscoll said: "I was pleased to get involved with this project to ensure that some of the burden of cost did not fall on home owners."

Matt Smith said: "Spooky Lane is well used by cyclists and walkers. It is steep and needs regular sweeping during autumn to keep the surface safe."

Homeowners now have peace of mind that their properties are safeguarded from subsidence.
